Biography

Casey Roderick is determined when it comes to rising stars in the ultra-competitive world of auto racing. And no one believes that more than his team owner and mentor, NASCAR legend Bill Elliott.

“Casey just has what it takes,” Elliott said about the young talent. “There’s a certain passion you see in some drivers – you can almost see it in their eyes –and you just know they can do it. It’s about more than just winning races; it’s a true love for everything about the sport. There’s no doubt in my mind that Casey Roderick has that passion.” But as much as your own passion and determination you have to have the financial support of a company that is going places as well.

Since Roderick was 5 years old he has proven himself to be among the very best. In August 2008, Casey was hand-picked by NASCAR champion Bill Elliott to join the Bill Elliott Driver Development program based in Dawsonville, Georgia. In an interview with NASCAR.com, Casey had this to say about joining the BEDD team, “I was just speechless. I can’t believe I have this opportunity. I just appreciated him [Elliott] taking a chance on me… I’m ready to do whatever it takes to further my career. I’ll do whatever I need to do to get on the track. I’ll do anything to race.”

Casey and his father David, a two-man team with limited resources and raw talent have accomplished tremendous success. Now Bill Elliott hopes to take this tremendous young talent to the next level of his career, so stay tuned as it promises to be nothing short of spectacular.

2010

  • Started third in SpeedFest PLM 150 at Lanier National Speedway (January); led field from lap 100 to 143 until contact from Kyle Busch sent him to the back of the field with 7 laps left, finished 6th

    • 2009

  • ARCA RE/MAX Series debut at Rockingham Speedway (October) – qualified third, started from rear of field; passed every car and took over lead for three laps before finishing second behind winner Parker Kligerman and ahead of 2009 series champion Justin Lofton in third
  • 14 Late Model starts; two wins; nine top-5’s; 11 top-10’s
  • Lanier National Speedway Super Six Champion
  • Second place in Georgia Asphalt Series points battle
  • SpeedFest at Lanier National Speedway (January) – first major Late Model race of the season; qualified on the pole, beating some of the best LM racers, including NASCAR superstar Kyle Busch; led first 100 laps and running solidly in third when a transmission failure ended his race 25 laps before the checkered flag

    • 2008

  • Won 23 career Legends feature races at Atlanta Motor Speedway, moving into second in all-time Legends victories at AMS, ahead of NASCAR stars Joey Logano and Reed Sorenson
  • Joined Bill Elliott Racing’s driver development program
  • Nearly won first start for BER in an ASA Southeast Asphalt Tour event; ran in the top-ten all race and was making a run on the leader when a caution came out on lap 97 of 100; in four total ASA SAT starts, finished 2nd, 2nd, 11th, 11th
  • Ran at sister tracks 5 Flags Speedway and Mobile International Speedway’s PLM weekly series, finishing 7th and 6th
  • First career start in PLM Snowball Derby 100 – support race to legendary Snowball Derby
  • started 13th and quickly fell two laps down from a flat tire; battled back to the lead lap and finished third
